I've taken a lot of photos of Makati throughout the years and whenever I visit someone's condo in the area, I make it a point to take a picture of Makati from their window. Whatever the view is from their home, it offers a fresh perspective of Makati for me.
Condos are often a bonus, my friend's units never fail to offer an entralling view or an enviable peak at the Ayala skyline.
Residential areas however always give me a dose of reality from their windows, the Makati land is shrinking! It often screams out. The airspace for sale is obviously expanding, there isn't a street now in Makati where you can't find a construction site for a high rise. The Washington and Poblacion areas always feel like Sampaloc Manila to me. It feels most real because the aged-old residents have lived and spawned there for generations. I would say it would be comparable to living in Harlem where people know the people from their neighborhood and street basketball is the sport of choice.
So what's outside your window? :)
